Ms. Hamilton has more than 25 years of auditing and financial management experience including public accounting, financial management, project management, federal financial reporting, financial statement analysis and compilation, fraud detection, business process improvement, cost and budget analysis, risk assessment, internal controls evaluation / documentation, business process design, system integration, testing and implementation. As Principal, Ms. Hamilton plays an active role in all projects including pre-engagement planning, performance monitoring, deliverable reviews, and final presentations. She is primarily responsible for the firm’s strategic direction, successful delivery of client services, overall project management and contract administration, final issuance of all deliverables and reports, business development, and quality assurance functions. Prior to founding Hamilton Enterprises, Ms. Hamilton worked with IBM and PwC Public Sector practice.

 

Ms. Hamilton’s extensive experience with federal government entities includes providing Chief Financial Officer’s (CFO) Act financial statements along with compliance, program, contract, and performance audits, business process improvement, internal control and audit readiness assessments, financial statement analysis, and other assurance and financial management services for a variety of federal government clients. She has a strong knowledge of federal accounting/auditing standards (including GAAS and GAGAS) and leadership proven by her ability to manage teams in serving government executives to initiate and manage positive change and resolve issues.

 

Ms. Hamilton is a graduate of the University of Maryland where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Economics. She also has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Georgetown University. Ms. Hamilton is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland and a Project Management Professional (PMP). Ms. Hamilton is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Association of Government Accountants (AGA).
